Cricket holds a special place in the esteemed history of PARSEE GYMKHANA, being the first sport to grace its grounds since its foundation. The legacy of cricket at PARSEE GYMKHANA dates back to the historic journey of the first-ever Indian/Parsee cricket team to England in 1886, followed by another visit in 1888. This monumental milestone was accompanied by the finalization of the Gymkhana's iconic cricket blazer, solidifying its position as the world headquarters of Parsee cricket.
In 1988, the Gymkhana pavilion stood proudly, symbolizing years of dedication and passion for the sport. The Parsees initiated the renowned Presidency matches, an annual tradition featuring two matches against European teams, including Bombay Gymkhana and Poona Gymkhana. Notably, the Parsee Gymkhana invited prominent Parsee cricketers from other clubs to join forces, forming an indomitable team to rival their European counterparts.
Throughout the years, Parsee Gymkhana has been graced by exceptional cricketers such as Dr. M. E. Pavri, D. D. Kanga, H. D. Kanga, Jamshedji, Kapadia brothers (Dadi & Bahadur), B. Kalapesi, Dadi Havewala, and many others. Notably, Dorab Tata, the founder Secretary and son of Jamsetji Tata, exemplified outstanding athleticism and prowess across various games, leaving an indelible mark on the legacy of Parsee Gymkhana.
Parsee Gymkhana actively participates in numerous inter club tournaments and league matches securing numerous titles an accolade along the way. The club takes pride in nurturing and developing young cricketers, many f whom have risen through ranks in All India Cricket Tournaments like Ranjit trophy, Indian Premiere League and even earned Prestigious opportunities to play for the Indian Cricket Team.
These remarkable achievements stand as a testament to the clubs commitment to fostering talent and contributing to the rich tapestry of Indian Cricket.

Billiards was introduced in the Gymkhana in 1902 and is one of the earliest sports that was patronized in Parsee Gymkhana. Over the years we have garnered many members who took up the game and reached considerable expertise on this field of sports. The Parsee Gymkhana's Billiard Rooms have been a hub of Snooker / Billiards activity for the members throughout the year. The gymkhana organizes various in-house tournaments, which witness active participation from its members and are a major highlight, which are followed by prize distributions and contributory dinner.
In addition to its own tournaments, the Gymkhana also participates in many Snooker Billiard tournaments held by BSAM & other clubs. This provides an opportunity for the members to showcase their skills and compete with other seasoned players from different clubs.
Moreover, the gymkhana also organizes friendly tournaments with other clubs. This not only helps in gaining knowledge but also provides a platform for the members to learn from other experienced players. The Parsee Gymkhana's Billiard Rooms is fully airconditioned with two billiards table and two experienced markers offering a perfect blend of competitive spirit and camaraderie, making it a popular destination for the billiard enthusiasts.

The newly renovated court at Parsee Gymkhana is designed to help players of all levels improve their game and skills. Our renovated badminton court features state-of-the-art flooring, lighting, and equipment to provide our members with the best possible playing experience. In addition, we have added locker and changing room facilities to make it easier for our members to get ready for their games. At our club, we believe that regular practice and participation in tournaments are key to improving your game. That's why we organize yearly in-house tournaments exclusively for our members. These tournaments provide our members with the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete against other players in a friendly and supportive environment. At the end of each tournament, we hold a prize distribution function to recognize the winners and celebrate their achievements. It's a great way to bring our members together and build. We have Mr. S.A. Shetty & Mr. Nimbalkar.who are professional couches for the game and run coaching programs for beginners & advance coaching too.

Our turf cricket court is designed considering the comfort and safety for our members. The court surface is made of high-quality materials that provides excellent traction and reduce any risk of injuries. We also have ample lighting to ensure that games can be played after sunset.

Our Tennis court is designed considering the comfort and safety for our members. The court surface is made of high-quality materials that provides excellent traction and reduce any risk of injuries. We also have ample lighting to ensure that games can be played after sunset. At our club, we believe in active participation and community building. That's why our members are encouraged to play tennis regularly and participate in our yearly tournaments. Our tournaments provide our members with the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete against other players in a friendly and supportive environment. We have a professional Coach & Ball Boy available too. Court is available to Members from 7 am to 9 am & 5.30 pm to 8 pm.
*Morning session is available to members, provided that no cricket match is scheduled on the ground.

Ever since Table-Tennis has been revived at our Gymkhana in 2014, our team has won all major titles including Men's / Women's singles & Teams at every all-Parsee TT tournament.

In only their third appearance in the Mumbai City District Interclub Table-Tennis League, Parsee Gymkhana won Gold in the First Division. PG remained the only unbeaten team in the premier tournament which concluded on 31st May 2018 at NSCI.
PG had been placed in the prestigious First Division right from its first appearance in 2016.

Frenaz Chipia has been Gujarat No.1 since the last 12 years besides winning every State ranking tournament since the last 2 years. In 2016-17, in Youth Girls Nationals, she won Gold in Teams and in Doubles she won Bronze, besides winning Bronze at the Senior Nationals too. In October 2017, representing India she participated in the ITTF World Challenge Belgium Open. She is the current Captain of Gujarat and Airport Authority team. Frenaz Wins The Fifth Open Gujarat Table Tennis Championship held at Bhavnagar & continues her Reign as Gujarat No1.

Zubin Taraporewalla has won the Gold medal in West Zone Inter-university, 2012-13 at Baroda. Also Gold medalist in Men's Singles (Comptroller & Auditor General -- West Zone, 2016-17 at Nagpur). Gold medalist in Men's singles in the All-India Civil Services, 2017-18 in Haryana. Zubin Taraporewalla is also the Gold medalist in Teams in State Championship from 2014 to 2017.
